Hi, welcome to Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue. We are a small independent voluntary organisation dedicated to helping dogs in need. Each year, in Herefordshire alone there are around 350 dogs who find their way into the stray pound. Some go back home, sadly many are never reclaimed by their owners. These are the dogs we take care of, we provide them with shelter, either in our kennels or in a foster home, they receive any veterinary treatment they may need and they stay with us until a new home is found for them.
We are also here to help should circumstances arise that means you are unable to keep your dog. If you are having difficulties please give us a call, we will do our very best to help you find a new home for your pet..

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL HEREFORDSHIRE DOG WALKERS

As from 1st August there are many areas throughout Herefordshire where you will either no longer be able to walk your dogs or they will need to be on lead.

TRAINING CLASSES

We now hold regular training classes at the kennels every Monday evening at 6.00pm.  If you have difficulties handling your dog on and off lead please come along and join us.  A single session can show a marked improvement in the dogs behaviour and gives the owner confidence in handling their dog correctly.

Our kennel dogs are really enjoying the sessions, they are presenting themselves well when visitors come to see them and has already resulted in homes for some of our longer stay dogs.

Staff, fosterers and volunteers of the rescue - lessons are free of charge.  Its important the dogs in the kennels have consistency, walkers handling the dogs in a similar manner is already giving great results.

If you have rehomed a dog from our rescue, then your first lesson is free of charge - from then on the charge is £4 per session.

All dogs are welcome, cost for members of the public and their pets is £5 per session.

The dogs before me were the reason
As are the ones who come after
Our lives would have been wasted
Our love never given
We would die if not for you

These dogs give 150% all they ask for is a second chance
